The One – Take one big slice of hardworking drummer who’s worked and features regularly for Heartbreak, Thee Fair Ohs, previously Ebony Bones and has toured alongside artists such as The Slits, Metronomy, La Roux, Shy Child, Infadels, Friendly Fires to name a few, now add yourself a chunk of the extraordinary vocal predator that is Emeson, former member of the underground future group Lifesize, songwriter, remixer(Peter Gabriel, Chico Hamilton), throw in some 80′s electro/soul influences such as Jam & Lewis, SOS Band et al and stir in a heathly handful of electronica/new waveness like Killing Joke, Gus Gus,Skinny Puppy, Kate Bush to name but a few. That should leave you with an eclectic duo that have carved out a sound that is both dark and catchy; a sort of futuristic electro/ soul. With a hunger and deep passion to perform this music, The One enlisted friends Sam Ryan (Serious Lover) and Curtis Weir to sprinkle their own magicdust on keys and guitar to form a four piece live band.
